Flexible Respite Services

ANFE Community Care's delivery of Flexible Respite services to the community is an important support for frail older people and their carers.

High quality respite services provides opportunities for care recipients to
undertake activities that are meaningful to them and that they enjoy.

This can also provide carers the opportunity to attend to everyday activities,
work, or simply have a break
from the demands of their caring role, while
ensuring the needs of the care recipient are still met.

Respite benefits the carer by providing supervision and assistance to the
frail older client. The carer may or may not be present during
the delivery of the service.

Various types of  Flexible Respite can be provided:

IN - HOME RESPITE

In-home respite provides a daytime support service for carers of clients
needing assisted support in the carer's or the client's home.

COMMUNITY ACCESS -
INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT

Community access-individual support provides one-on-one structured activities
to give clients a social experience to develop, maintain or support independent
living and social interaction and offer respite to their carer.
